Notice Of Cancellation

Dear Friends,

It is with the utmost regret that we have to inform you of the cancellation of, what would have been, our ninth party.

In spite of our determined efforts to promote the event through the Internet, jazz media and mail shots, we have currently attracted bookings well below our “break even figure”.

We had every confidence that the excellent line-up of musicians would ensure that we could achieve the magic number required, but it would seem that the UK cannot support two jazz parties in the present awful economic climate.

We trust you will understand that we are bound to give reasonable advance notice to the musicians and Hilton Blackpool, in order that they have the opportunity to find alternative business in October.

Most of you will be aware that we made a very considerable loss on the 2007 party thus wiping out all our reserves, so this time we have nothing to fall back on, except fond memories of so many wonderful musical experiences, fun, and the many new friends we gained during the past eight years.
